Christopher Robert Evans is an American actor from the United States. He began his acting career playing roles in television shows including Opposite Sexual Sex in the year 2000. His fame was boosted by his role as the Human Torch, the Marvel Comics superhero, in Fantastic Four (2007) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2008). Evans appeared in further films based on comics and graphic novels such as TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) as well as Snowpiercer (2013). He gained wider recognition for his role as Steve Rogers / Captain America in various Marvel Cinematic Universe films namely Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Captain America: Civil War as well as the group films The Avengers Age of Ultron (2015) Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Endgame (2019). Within the Marvel universe, the performance as Steve Rogers / Captain America helped him become the most highly paid actor in the world.
